Here is a set of three posters for Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. One traditional design, one typographical design, and one inspired by another famous designer (Saul Bass).
The first poster was traditional, painted on canvas with acrylic. It is a symbolic graphic relating to the play. The typographical poster was inspired by the mind melting, psychedelic feeling the play radiates. Lastly, this last poster is supposed to be in the iconic style of Saul Bass. I used his geometric and rough shape language in the type as well as the graphics. I also included a hand that you see in many of Saul's designs.
