2024

I have no association to Le Creuset nor do I own any part of the brand. This is just a personal creative brief.

I was tasked to create a united and cohesive packaging arrangement for a brand, where it could then be packaged onto palettes and shipped. This product line will be sold online as well as in stores, so it needs to be successful on screen as well as in person.

Le Creuset Sourdough is geared toward a younger demographic, being the ages 18-30. With the desire to bring a timeless, classic way to baking, back into the picture and to the younger crowd. Sourdough is such an interesting process, and it is overall a great and healthy kind of bread. I made this sourdough line with a young and spry flair to the branding, to catch the attention of my demographic. Let's bring sourdough to all!

I created a three packages for this line, that all worked together visually, and for use. To go along with the package line, I created an "unboxing" experience that brought an exciting process of unboxing the new product line, creating an enjoyable experience.
As a consumer would initially get this PR package in the mail, they would immediately see the stylized exterior with a brief illustrated process of sourdough, to entice the viewer with what is to come inside.
Each package related to the use of creating and making sourdough! A Measuring jar to measure the growth of the sourdough starter, whole wheat flour to feed the starter, and a scoring knife to design and score the top of the sourdough loaf. Each package has illustrations that provide insight to the product. In the whole wheat box, there is a drawn bag of flour, as well as heads of wheat. On the scoring knife box, there is an illustrated loaf of bread, and a known scoring pattern that I turned into backing details. And lastly, on the measuring jar box, I drew a glass jar with layers that represent the starter and the stages of the growth of the starter itself. In the background, I added elements of bubbles that depict the look of a healthy, growing sourdough starter.
